Update 1, 8:23 AM, 9/8/17: Consider US Highways 19, 41, 301, 27, and 441 in lieu of the interstates.  Interstate 75 is especially slow northbound from the Hernando-Sumter County line to the beyond the Florida-Georgia border.

Stuckey’s — A Store, Restaurant, Gas Station, and Gift Shop. Then & Now

I remember those Stuckey’s billboards headed up Interstate 75 to grandma and grandpa’s house.

The signs with red letters called out to travelers.  They were mostly near Interstate highways, at least that’s what I remember.

Roadtrippin’ — Day Six

In a six-part series, Take The Highway takes to the highway on a six day roadtrip through the southeast, mid-Atlantic, and northeastern United States.

We took our time getting up on this, the last day of the trip.  Breakfast at the Ambassador Inn was located in a former restaurant building located on the property.  It was a fairly basic breakfast, nothing special.  Eggo waffles, cereal, mini donuts, milk, orange juice, coffee, and fruit.
